IMA Plans Absolute Return Sector Review

The Investment Management Association is planning a review of the Absolute Return sector.

The Investment Management Association (IMA) is planning a review of the Absolute Return sector, Investment Week reports. The trade body has also issued further guidance to asset managers about the aims of absolute return products, stressing its expectations of the sector to members, adds Citywire.

The industry body has also confirmed that funds wishing to be classified in the absolute return sector must clearly state that they have a rolling 12-month timeframe. The IMA plans to review the Absolute Return sector in April 2011.
