UBS has strengthened its Tokyo-based forex team, making three executive director-level appointments, FinanceAsia reports. Head of e-commerce sales Toshimasa Fujii, from Barclays Bank, will be responsible for leveraging UBS’ recent investments in its e-trading platform, including the rollout of algorithmic pricing that began in July.
John Shen-Nagakura from Societe Generale will be head of FX corporate sales and deepen UBS’ relationships with Japanese companies. As head of the bank’s real money sales team, Ko Haruki from Goldman Sachs will build sales to life insurers and asset managers in partnership with Kentaro Noguchi.
