The Lancashire County Council Pension Fund has appointed Northern Trust as global custodian of its $7.5 billion in pension and treasury assets. Northern Trust has replaced BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, adds Pensions & Investments. The Chicago-based asset manager will also provide related services, including transition management, securities lending and investment risk analytics. The pension fund was advised by specialist custody consultant firm Thomas Murray.
