UBS has named Hermann Prelle as chairman of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Reuters reports. He joined UBS in 2000 and has returned from a year-long sabbatical to take up his new post. Prelle will handle client coverage and work alongside the bank’s current regional co-heads of M&A Jonathan Rowley and Alison Harding-Jones. Before taking leave, Prelle was co-head of investment banking EMEA and was on the bank’s executive board.
