Low-latency network and service providers in Japan and Singapore, KVH and Singapore Telecommunications, have designed an ultra low latency network between Tokyo and Singapore, Finextra reports. The network, with a guaranteed latency of 67 milli seconds, is created with the latest ethernet technology and shortest network route. The network will have access points at KVH Tokyo Data Center 1, a proximity hosting center for high frequency trading in Japan and at Singapore Exchange’s (SGX) co-location center. SGX will implement a new stock exchange system that processes one million transactions per second at the new data centre.
