TMX Group’s senior equities exchange Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) and public venture capital marketplace TSX Venture Exchange together had the world’s maximum new listings for 2011 as on September 30. The ranking is part of a recently launched statistics report from the World Federation of Exchanges.
TSE and TSX together had 318 new listings, including 32 graduates from TSX to TSE, taking them past the second-ranking Shenzhen Stock Exchange with 201 new listings year-to-date. Deutsche Boerse ranked third with 176 new listings. TMX Group was second in the world by number of listings, seventh by market capitalization and seventh by equity capital raised as of September 30.
