UniSuper, one of Australia’s largest retirement funds, has appointed Mark Himpoo, previously head of fundamental Australian equities for BlackRock, as senior manager of equities, Financial Standard reports. Himpoo will be working with the equities team headed by Simon Hudson with a special focus on developing UniSuper’s in-house investment strategy.
At present, UniSuper has more than 430,000 member accounts and assets in excess of $29 billion. It is the industry super fund dedicated to all who work in Australia’s higher education and research sector.
