Lockton Inc., the largest privately held insurance broker globally, has appointed Derek Lakin as senior vice president, boosting its financial services insurance and risk management practice. Lakin will be in charge of structuring, negotiating and servicing directors and officers liability, errors and omissions, media liability, cyber, crime, fiduciary liability, employment practices liability, and general partnership liability programs for an array of publicly traded and privately held clients including financial institutions and private equity firms.
Previously, he was with insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh Inc., most recently as senior vice president and team leader for the broker’s New York City Commercial Finpro team. He will work from Lockton’s New York office.
