The Walton Family Foundation will be investing $25.5 million in the Kipp Foundation. The grant will be spread over five years and will help support the families of 59,000 students pick high-performing Knowledge Is Power Program (Kipp) schools. It will support the Kipp network’s goal of increasing its college completion rate.
The grant will also support Kipp’s national advocacy, professional development for teachers, knowledge sharing, and research and data initiatives. The Walton Foundation has invested more than $32 million since 2002, enabling Kipp to develop the country’s biggest high-performing charter school network.
