An offer of approximately £200 million has been made for the West London headquarters of the British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC), Bloomberg reports. The world’s largest public broadcaster has received over 10 bids for its office located in the White City district.
Following a funding freeze, BBC is slashing 2,000 jobs and shifting offices and production outside London in order to reduce costs. Lambert Smith Hampton, a London-based broker, is managing the deal. Bidders are likely to be shortlisted in December and the final purchaser may be selected by the year-end.
