Lexington Raises $7B Fund

Lexington Partners has closed the Lexington Capital Partners VII and associated vehicles, with equity commitments worth $7 billion.

Lexington Partners has closed the Lexington Capital Partners VII and associated vehicles, with equity commitments worth $7 billion. The fund, which started investing in 2010, secured investor interest in excess of its hard cap of $7 billion.

The LCP VII will acquire portfolios of private equity partnership interests and co-investments in the global private equity secondary market. About 60% of the fund’s investment came from U.S. investors, 40% from the U.K., Europe, China, Canada, the Middle East, South America, Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
