Brevan Howard Asset Management is closing the Brevan Howard Equity Strategies Fund.

Brevan Howard Asset Management is closing the Brevan Howard Equity Strategies Fund, CNBC reports. The firm is shutting the $600 million portfolio following the resignation of its hedge fund manager, Fabrizio Gallo.

Gallo, who managed the five year-old equity strategies fund, has left the firm to join Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he will be co-head of global equities and European global markets. He joined the asset management firm in 2009 from Morgan Stanley, where he was head of equities and global proprietary trading.
