Argentine President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, has declined an offer for the government’s stake in Siderar, Bloomberg reports, citing Clarin. Siderar’s controlling stakeholder, Techint Group, has offered to buy the stake. The government owns about 26% of the Argentine integrated steelmaking facility. The government and the company are also discussing the names of state representatives on Siderar’s board.
