Aegon has renamed its U.K. asset management arm as Kames Capital, Financial Times reports. The move comes as Aegon Asset Management’s head of European asset management Andrew Fleming sought to separate the firm from its insurance-focused parent company Aegon U.K.
The rebranding of the business will come into effect on Sept. 1, 2011. The change will enhance its distinctive investment propositions and support the expansion of the business, adds Money Marketing. Kames Capital will be led by Fleming and continue to manage insured funds on behalf of Aegon U.K.
