Ex-Banco Santander Exec Joins Votorantim

Banco Votorantim has appointed Joao Teixeira as co-head of its newly created wholesale banking division.

Banco Votorantim has appointed Joao Teixeira as co-head of its newly created wholesale banking division, Bloomberg reports. In his new role, Teixeira will be in charge of corporate and investment banking, the broker dealer unit, fixed income, derivatives and funding.

The privately-owned Brazilian bank has also hired Walter Piacsek for the team to manage middle market credit, asset management, private banking and the legal department. Teixeira has formerly worked with Banco Santander as an executive.
