Teacher Retirement System of Texas has mandated Barclays Capital Fund Solutions-Americas to manage $500 million, Pensions & Investments reports. Including Barclays, the $109.9 billion system now has five strategic partners managing $5.2 billion on its behalf.
Other investment partners include BlackRock, JPMorgan Asset Management and Neuberger Berman Group, each managing $1.2 billion, and Morgan Stanley Investment Management, which has a $1.1 billion mandate. The system has also added to hedge funds and private equity allocations by some $3.4 billion and $1.4 billion, respectively.
