Network equipment maker, Finisar, has placed a bid to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Ignis that it does not currently own. The company has offered $1.43 per share for the optical components and network solutions, making the aggregate purchase price nearly $76 million. The company recently purchased 18.3 million shares from certain existing Ignis shareholders for $1.43 per share in cash, or an aggregate purchase price of $26.45 million. Finisar’s total ownership has been increased to around 32.6 % of the outstanding Ignis shares on a fully diluted basis.
