The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has awarded $500,000 to The Mind Trust, Indianapolis Business Journal reports. The grant will be used to support the Indianapolis nonprofit Cities for Education Entrepreneurship Trust, a network of 18 city-based not-for-profits, foundations and mayors’ offices supporting educational innovation.
The Gates foundation grant comes as a major funding to The Mind Trust. It has invested more than $5 million in Indianapolis educational initiatives including Teach for America, College Summit, the New Teacher Project, Diploma Plus and Stand for Children.
