Yoshihisa Kojima has joined asset manager Threadneedle Investments as sales director in Japan, The Asset reports. He will report jointly to June Wong, vice-chairman of Asia-Pacific and Michael Langlois, head of wholesale distribution.
Yoshihisa will be in charge of the firm’s institutional and wholesale business in Japan. Most recently, he was with Goldman Sachs Asset Management, one of the top 10 asset managers globally, as vice-president of fund marketing. He had successfully launched several products, including a currency long-short fund and a quantitative hedge fund which collectively raised $5 billion over a two-year period at the firm.
