U.S. financial services provider State Street Corp. has strengthened its Australian global markets team with the appointment of Sinclair Scholfield and Jonathan Gencher, Financial Standard reports. The firm has named Scholfield as head of its securities finance business and Gencher as vice president and head of e-Exchange, its electronic foreign exchange (FX) trading service.
Based in Sydney, Scholfield will be in charge of boosting the firm’s business in Australia and New Zealand. Previously, Scholfield was the firm’s securities finance asset liability manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. Gencher will oversee local business development and account management of the e-Exchange product suite. He joins from National Australia Bank where he was a director, institutional foreign exchange sales.
