The Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System (Iowa PERS), Des Moines, has appointed investment managers (IMs) for its timberland and farmland mandates, Pensions & Investments reports. Forest Investment Associates will manage U.S. timberland and UBS AgriVest will run the U.S. farmland.
Each selected firm will oversee $100 million, pending contract negotiations. The $21.7 billion system’s investment consultant Wilshire Associates assisted in the search process.
