Allianz Global Investors is seeking to float a renminbi-denominated fixed income fund, Investment Week reports. The Allianz RCM Renminbi Income fund is expected to be managed by Hong-Kong based Helen Lam, who has worked on RCM’s regional fixed income team since 1999.
The Luxembourg-domiciled Ucits III new vehicle will aim to deliver long-term capital growth and achieve a total return through a diversified portfolio of fixed interest securities. The portfolio will include Chinese government bonds, corporate bonds, quasi government bonds, super national bonds and renminbi deposits. The fund will also be able to invest in convertible bonds.
