The Qatar Financial Market Authority (QFMA) has selected HSBC, QNB and Standard Chartered to provide custody services at the Qatar Exchange (QE), Gulf Times reports. The banks will also participate in the daily cash-settlement of trades as per the depository agreement.
The custodians will also be able to handle the monetary side of the transactions for their customers. The initial authorization will be valid for as long as the firms meet QFMA’s on-going regulatory requirements.
