Liquidnet, the global institutional trading network, has rolled out a global institutional platform for trading in shares of fast-growing private companies. The company appointed Lou Kerner to launch a private shares group, which will be part of its equity capital markets group reporting to business head Steve Greenblatt.
Kerner along with his team will work with the largest institutional investors seeking access to high-growth opportunities and directly with private companies looking to launch programs for orderly transfers of equity stakes. Most recently, Kerner was with Wedbush Securities as vice president of equity research covering the social media and e-commerce sectors.
