Sandler O’Neill & Partners has appointed David Connelly and Scott Buchta as managing directors in its Chicago-based fixed income group.

Sandler O’Neill & Partners has appointed David Connelly and Scott Buchta as managing directors in its Chicago-based fixed income group. The pair previously worked at Guggenheim Securities, which they joined from Braver Stern Securities, adds Bloomberg. Connelly will be responsible for boosting fixed income distribution in the Midwest and broadening relationships with non-bank financial companies. Buchta will provide market insight and relative value trade ideas across the ABS, MBS and CMBS sectors. The investment bank has also appointed Brian Vanselow, Kevin Smith and Michael Piper for fixed-income sales.
