TPG, VTB, EBRD To Pay 1.1B For Lenta Stake

A consortium of VTB Capital and TPG is acquiring a 44% stake in St Petersburg-based retailer Lenta from its main owner August Meyer.

A consortium of VTB Capital and TPG is acquiring a 44% stake in St Petersburg-based retailer Lenta from its main owner August Meyer, Reuters reports. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is the third partner in the consortium. Lenta’s largest shareholder will receive a total of around $1.1 billion from the sale. Lenta is valued at $2.6 billion.
