Europe’s biggest commercial broadcaster RTL Group is seeking to buy ITI Group’s $800 million controlling stake in Polish broadcaster TVN, Reuters reports. ITI Group appointed JP Morgan and Nomura to help seek a buyer. Last month, ITI held talks with five possible buyers, including Bertelsmann, Time Warner and News Corporation’s Fox. TVN is a private broadcaster in Poland, focusing mainly on an urban audience with shows, such as X Factor. The group also controls Poland’s web portal Onet.pl and pay-TV platform.
