Standard Life Investments (SLI) is aiming to overhaul the performance target of its £84.1 million Strategic Bond fund, Financial Times reports. The portfolio, managed by Andrew Sutherland, will now be benchmarked to the performance of the IMA Strategic Bond sector peer group. As a part of the change, the fund, which presently holds 50% in gilts and 50% in sterling corporate bonds, will be allowed to invest up to 80% in sterling or hedge-backed sterling bonds. The team, which also manages the £7.1 billion Global Absolute Return Strategies fund, will now oversee the strategic fund.
