The New York State Teachers’ Retirement System is seeking an in-house manager of private equity, Pensions & Investments reports. The manager will be responsible for handling the international, special situation and venture capital parts of the system’s private equity portfolio. The new appointee will also recommend new investments and lead deal sources and due diligence. The New York system has about $1.34 billion of assets in its private equity portfolio.
