Multi-Employer Property Trust (MEPT) has acquired 200 West Madison in Chicago for $217.5 million. The seller of the office building is a joint venture of Tishman Speyer, Pearlmark Real Estate Advisors and a major U.S. pension plan.
The $5.1 billion open-ended commingled real estate equity fund bought the 88 percent leased office complex in an all-cash deal through a limited partnership unit. The buyer was represented by Paul Barile and Janice Sellis of Transwestern’s investment services group.
