Chris Blakeley has been appointed by wealth management service provider Novia Financial as head of risk and compliance for its investment services unit, Financial Times reports. Novia is developing a corporate wrap platform for life insurance and pensions firm Aegon U.K. Aegon had in March awarded Novia administration of its platform for up to five years.
Blakeley will be in charge of handling regulatory risk for the operations working on the Aegon platform delivery and will be reporting to Novia COO Richard Denning, adds Money Marketing. Most recently, Blakeley was head of risk and compliance with financial and banking provider Macquarie Group’s U.K. banking and financial services unit for three years.
