Canal Plus, the pay-TV subsidiary of France’s Vivendi, is in discussions that may see it in control of Poland’s private broadcaster TVN, Financial Times reports. Time Warner, Germany’s RTL Group, News Corp. and Discovery Communications are among other companies interested in TVN.
The company is worth $1.6 billion as per current market valuation. The deal will combine Poland’s second and third-biggest satellite TV groups by subscribers and could see Vivendi taking control of a merged holding company.
