Shareholders of the European Energy Exchange (EEX) have elected a new Supervisory Board , Mondovisione reports. The board comprises of Edward Backes, head of Department Market Supervision Trading and Clearing at Deutsche Börse, Burkhard Jung, Mayor of the City of Leipzig and Ulrich Kastner, a management consultant at UKC.

Shareholders also re-appointed Jürgen Kroneberg as Chairman of the board. Harald Pfab, Peter Reitz and State Secretary Roland Werner were elected as deputy chairmen of the Supervisory Board.
