Germany’s Lanxess has dropped talks with CVC Capital Partner to acquire Belgium’s Taminco.

Germany’s Lanxess has dropped talks with CVC Capital Partner to acquire Belgium’s Taminco, Private Equity Hub reports, citing Financial Times Deutschland. The discussions ended as both the firms could not agree on a price.

Lanxess had offered nearly $1.43 billion for the chemical maker. CVC may take Taminco public if it does not find another prospective buyer.
