Donald MacDonald has joined as chairman of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC), the European investors’ forum for collaboration on climate change. Replacing Ole Beier Sorensen, he will be strengthening dialogue with policy makers in order to create the right frameworks for low-carbon investment and encourage best practice across the industry.
Donald is a trustee director of the BT Pensions Scheme. He has been chairman of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment, director of BT Quest and president of the Communication Workers Union.
