U.S. cable company, Liberty Global, is set to bid for Dutch cable operator, Ziggo, Financial Times reports. The bid will block a possible flotation of Ziggo by its private equity owners. Cinven and Warburg Pincus are aiming to raise €7 billion from Ziggo’s initial public offering. Small specialist advisory firm, STJ, is advising the private equity firms on the flotation.
