First State Investments has appointed Richard Wastcoat as non-executive director, Citywire reports. He will handle effective governance and oversight of First State’s executive function in the newly created role.
Wastcoat has been a board director at the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and was also on the board of the Investment Management Association (IMA). He was managing director of Fidelity when he left it in 2007 after 25 years.
