Brazilian electrical energy company, CPFL Energia, has acquired Jantus for $597.48 million, The Wall Street Journal reports. A group consisting of Liberty Mutual Insurance and a unit of Citicorp has sold Jantus.
CPFL will also acquire Jantus’ net debt of $343.4 million. Jantus controls wind-power operations, SIIF Energies do Brasil and SIIF Desenvolvimento de Projetos de Energia Eolica, which own 210 megawatts of windpower generation facilities in Brazil.
