Guillaume Rambourg, a former Gartmore fund manager, has made the first hire for his new Paris-based hedge fund venture, Financial News reports. Rambourg has appointed Karim Moussalem in a senior investment role.
Most recently, Moussalem was working as a managing director and head of cash trading with Goldman Sachs. The new hedge fund, expected to launch until 2012, is expected to mirror the format of Rambourg’s European long/short equities fund AlphaGen Capella.
