Global index provider Dow Jones Indexes has launched the Dow Jones Global Shipping Index. The new index will evaluate the performance of 25 dividend-paying companies in the shipping sector, which focus solely on transporting goods and materials.
A company must have a minimum market capitalization of $150 million and a three-month average daily trading volume of $2 million. The index has already been certified to Guggenheim Funds for the Guggenheim Shipping ETF.
