David Varley, fund manager at Royal London Asset Management (RLAM), is resigning from his current position, Financial Times reports. Varley, who joined the firm in December 2007, will be leaving in April to pursue opportunities outside the industry.
Varley oversees the £429.1 million Royal London Japan Growth fund, which was top quartile over three and five years to March 21. The senior fund manager on the RLAM Japanese equity team, Jonathan McClure, will take over management of the fund on an interim basis.
