BAE Systems has offered $290 million to buy an Irish fraud-preventing software maker, Norkom Group, Bloomberg reports. The U.K. defense, security and aerospace company has offered $2.8 for each share in Norkom.
BAE is diversifying into civil engineering and technology contracts. The company bought L-1 Identity Solutions’ counter-terrorism business for about $296 million in September, following the purchase of Detica Group in 2008.
