Polish Power Exchange (Polpx) may begin trading biomass, coal and natural-gas contracts within months, Bloomberg reports. Poland and Sweden linked their electricity markets with a 600-megawatt undersea power cable, Swe-Pol link, on Dec. 15, 2010.

Polpx entered an agreement with Power Exchange Central Europe and Abwicklungsstelle fuer Energieprodukte in February 2010 to connect their markets.
