UBI Banca has raised €999.91 billion from a capital hike, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Italian lender sold the rights to its shares that were initially unsubscribed.

Previously, UBI raised about €923 million in its capital hike program. UBI Banca is the first Italian bank to announce a rights issue to support its capital ratios.
