According to a report by State Street Global Advisers, U.S. ETFs generated around $56.3 billion of net inflows in the first half of 2011. Net inflows in the first six months of 2010 were almost $37.3 billion.
The early six months of the current year saw most investments towards fixed-income, developed international markets and dividend strategies. Going by present rate of inflows, the funds may amass cash flows of over $100 billion by the end of the year.
