IMQubator, a hedge fund seeding platform backed by APG, has granted €25 million in seed capital to the iSTAR fund, HedgeWeek reports. The Luxembourg-domiciled fund will have a trend following and carry strategy for various markets.
The iSTAR team will be based in Amsterdam and is in the process of creating a Dutch management firm. The fund is being set up by Rudolph Shally and Thomas Artarit. The duo previously served at AIG Financial Products in Tokyo and London, prior to forming iSTAR Capital.
