Putnam Investments has created a new fixed income investment leadership structure with the appointment of three senior executives. William Kohli, Michael Salm and Paul Scanlon have been appointed to co-head the firm’s fixed income team that manages about $60 billion. The trio, who previously served as team leaders for portfolio construction and global strategies, liquid markets, and the U.S. high yield, respectively, will be reporting directly to CIO, Walter Donovan. The head of the fixed income team, Rob Bloemker, who has been serving the firm since 2007, is planning to leave Putnam.
