Agency research broker and financial technology firm Investment Technology Group (ITG) and Finnish fund manager Pohjola Asset Management (PAM) have introduced a smart routing and algorithmic trading service. The product looks to provide a low-cost execution facility for better trading performance.
To contain equity trading slippages, an ultra-low latency data centre was set up by ITG in Stockholm and order routing and connectivity software was rerouted. The buy-side smart order router is being marketed to institutional traders and asset managers through Pohjola Asset Management Execution Services, wholly owned by PAM. Third-party institutional traders will also be able to avail the new offering.
