Terra Firma’s Chairman, Guy Hands, is aiming to double the size of its renewable energy business within the next five years, Financial Times reports. Infinis, which had revenues of £143 million in 2010, has become the U.K.’s biggest generator of electricity from renewable sources.
Earlier in April 2011, Infinis acquired three small wind farms from Scottish and Southern Energy for £173.6 million. Two of the farms recently bought by Infinis have power purchase agreements lasting for 15 years, while the third has a deal for the next 14 years.
