An estimated $3.79 billion flowed into long-term mutual funds during the week ended October 26 as investors poured further capital into bonds and hybrid funds, The Wall Street Journal reports. The figures being cited are as per the Investment Company Institute. Investors withdrew $3.88 billion from equity funds during this week, compared with previous week outflows of $3.29 billion.
Bond funds saw inflows of $5.04 billion, whereas taxable funds witnessed inflows of $4.19 billion during the week. Municipal funds received inflows of $850 million. Investors also poured $2.63 billion into hybrid funds in this week as against receipts of $1.57 billion the previous week.
